SAN FRANCISCO — Authorities say a San Francisco transit bus struck and killed a bicyclist at a busy city intersection.
The crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. Friday. Fire Department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge tells the San Francisco Chronicle the male bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has not been identified.
Authorities say the bus was making a right turn when it hit the man. Additional circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately known.
Muni spokesman Paul Rose says the driver, who has about 10 years of experience, will be given a toxicology test. He was not identified.
