If that seed grows into a plant, you own that plant. If that plant produces a seed, Monsanto owns that seed. That’s just stupid. Personally, I would be hesitant to eat something from a plant that was genetically modified to create its own insecticide, or was, for some reason, resistant to herbicides, or an animal that produced its own antibiotics or other “beneficial” chemicals. Fortunately, I can never know which products on the shelf contain genetically modified products. Phew. What a relief.
