I'm assuming the police received permission from the Landero's to give out their address, or they spoke with the tourist? Whichever way it happened, I think it's awesome that the tourist went out of his or her way to thank the Landeros. The fact that the Landeros' turned the bag and money in to the police proves a number of things. Number one they believe Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I believe they put themselves in the tourists shoes, and did what they would want someone to do for them. 11k is a LOT of money to find, as well as to lose.I believe the universe will reward the Landeros, somehow, someway, someday, and they've already been rewarded with a Thank You in person from the tourist. Such a heart warming story. Thank you!

It would be interesting to know why they had $11,000 in cash?
