CITRUS HEIGHTS — Taito Sakurai scored on a header off a pass from Sean Patton to get an early lead, but it wasn’t enough on Friday as the Vacaville Christian High boys soccer team dropped a 2-1 Sierra Delta League contest to San Juan on Friday.

The Falcons fell to 2-3-1 in league and 3-7-1 overall. They visit Encina on Tuesday.

After Sakurai’s goal at the 25-minute mark, a Matt Burnett shot on goal was narrowly saved by the San Juan goalie. The host Spartans scored goals at the 36- and 39-minute mark and held on during the second half.
