Prep boys soccer: Vanden ups record to 10-0

FAIRFIELD — The Vanden High boys soccer team rolled to a 4-0 Solano County Athletic Conference victory over American Canyon, Monday, keeping its perfect record in order.

The Vikings (10-0, 8-0 SCAC) got two goals from Dominiq Laird, and one each from Jared Vitug and Stewart Pimienta. Pimienta and Patrick Dazo also contributed assists.

Coach Roy Darbison note he got outstanding play from Eddie Torres and Alejandro Lara, long with eight saves from goalie Antonio Ramirez.

Vanden will try to keep its perfect season alive when it plays Bethel at Corbus Field in Vallejo, Wednesday.

Armijo 1, Vacaville 0: At Vacaville, the Indians (6-5-1, 3-3-1 MEL) evened their league record with a close win over the Bulldogs.

Jonathan Delmendo scored the game-winner, finding the net in the 77th minute on an assist from Christian Diaz.

Hernan Perez came up huge in the net for Armijo, making 11 saves to preserve the shutout.

The Indians play at Wood, Wednesday.

Fairfield 4, Vallejo 1: At Fairfield, the Falcons (3-5-1, 3-3-1 SCAC) rolled to their third SCAC win of the season behind two goal from Miguel Avila, one in the 55th minute and the other in the 75th minute.

Malcolm Tyson and Joshue Marino also scored goals for Fairfield, while Alonso Frias added two assists and Tyson one.

Goalie Ivan Sanchez made six saves for the Falcons, who play at American Canyon, Wednesday.

Armijo JV 6, Vacaville 1: At Vacaville, the Indians (8-1) got a hat trick from Eric Solorio on their way to a win over the Bulldogs.

Kabir Bhandaal, Miguel Gomez Para and Patrick Dolan also scored goals for Armijo, with Mitchel Nosbisch and Derek Wadsworth collecting assists.

Armijo plays at Wood, Wednesday.
