Solano College falls to Los Medanos, 5-2

PITTSBURG — The Solano Community College baseball team suffered a tough 5-2 loss to Los Medanos in Bay Valley Conference action, Saturday.

Despite only being outhit 11 to 8, the Falcons (6-19, 4-8 BVC) could not get across the plate, leaving 11 on the bases.

SCC’s losing pitcher was Dylan Dumapay as he went four innings, allowing four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.

Jacob Pavolsky led the Falcons at the plate as he brought in the visitors only runs, going 1 for 4.

Pavolsky doubled in the top of the third and brought in Brandon Mihelich and Nick Perez.

David Fernandez and Perez were each 2 for 5 with a double. SCC’s other hits came from Evan Faccenda, Nick Burns and Alvaro Rubalcaba.

The Falcons host Napa, Tuesday.
