FAIRFIELD — Javona Hill delivered six aces and 16 assists to help lift the Fairfield High volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-22 Solano County Athletic League victory over Vallejo, Tuesday.
Talia Glenn added eight kills, one solo block and three digs for the Falcons (2-11, 1-2 SCAC).
Vallejo rallied to win the junior varsity match 15-25, 25-20, 16-14. Marissa Crisosto served up the first 12 points in the opening set for Falcons.
Fairfield hosts American Canyon on Wednesday.
Benicia 3, Vanden 0: At Benicia, the Vikings (4-2, 2-1 SCAC) dropped a crucial conference match 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.
Vanden was led by Michaela Copp, who was 5 for 6 on serves with one kill and nine blocks, Meghan Herout, who was 7 for 8 on serves with 12 kills and five digs, Kamra Jackson, who was 7 for 8 with one ace on serves with nine kills, one block and seven digs, and Annalyse Silva, who was 6 for 7 on serves with five digs and 20 assists.
Vanden also dropped the JV match 25-11, 25-20 with Jordyn Plaza going 6 for 8 on serves with three assists, Samantha Canoy going 5 for 5 with an ace, and Kiara Jackson getting eight digs for the Vikings (1-2 SCAC).
Vanden travels to Vallejo on Thursday.
Rodriguez (10-3, 1-2 MEL) was led by Jade Horder with 54 assists and three kills, Megan Bohorquez with 26 kills and two blocks, Tori Bruce with nine kills, Brittany Travis with six blocks and Destiny Greenwood with five blocks.
The Mustangs entertain Wood on Wednesday.
Vacaville 3, Armijo 0: At Fairfield, the Indians (0-7, 0-3 MEL) fell 25-4, 25-13, 25-8 to the visiting Bulldogs.
Armijo was led by Seghen Woldai with six kills, Katie Halls with seven assists and eight digs, Mikayla Elder with four digs and Jessica Pamatian with three digs.
The Indians are at Vintage on Wednesday.
