FAIRFIELD — The Armijo High volleyball team is still searching for its first win of the season after a 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 Monticello Empire League loss to Wood, Wednesday.
Seghen Woldai led the Indians (0-6, 0-2 MEL) with nine kills, while Brittany Saechao added 10 assists and four digs.
Katie Halls contributed seven assists and two digs, while Mikayla Elder had three kills and three digs for the Indians.
Armijo is back in action at home against Vacaville, Monday.
Rodriguez 3, Napa 0: At Napa, the Mustangs (6-1, 1-1 MEL) picked up their first league win of the season, a 25-8, 25-16, 25-22 win over the Indians.
Claudia Diaz contributed nine kills and added six aces, while Megan Bohorquez chipped in 14 kills, five blocks, 14 serve receptions and 14 digs.
Jade Horder had 31 assists and four kills, while Destiny Greenwood had three kills and five blocks.
The Mustangs play in the Davis tournament, Saturday, before playing at Vintage in MEL action, Monday.
VCS 3, Encina 0: At Sacramento, the Falcons (5-1, 1-0 SDL) opened Sierra Delta League play with a 25-6, 25-4, 25-4 victory.
Jasmine Dadhwal was 14 for 15 on serves with five aces, Hailey Kenyon added eight kills and Lindsey Munar, in her first game back from an injury, chipped in five aces.
VCS plays again on Thursday at Yuba City.
