Prep track: Vanden athletes enjoy success in Davis, Vallejo

DAVIS — Vanden High’s Tyler Koss won the boys 400 meters in 48.26 seconds at the Wood Wilson Relays at UC Davis, Saturday.

Vikings’ teammate Malia Bryant was second in the girls 400 in 56.81.

Vanden also had athletes participating in the Fred Faucet Invitational at Vallejo High, Saturday.

Jacque Henderson won two events, taking the 1,600 in 4:53.46 and the 3,200 in 11:28.42.

Nick Freeland won the 110 high hurdles in 16.71 and Anthony Hopson won the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches.

On the girls’ side, Aryel Moreland won the long jump with a leap of 15-10 and the triple jump with a mark of 31-4.

Vanden’s next action is at Fairfield High April 30.
