FAIRFIELD – Rochelle Roberts gave up just two hits and struck out 10 and the Vanden High softball team blasted host Fairfield 15-0 in five innings in Solano County Athletic Conference action, Wednesday.

The Vikings (18-4, 8-2 SCAC) took a 7-1 lead into the fourth before they exploded for eight runs, forcing the shortening of the game because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Alexis McMahon added a double and two RBIs, while Talia Trulillo and Nadia Young each drove in two.

Bailey Tingley had a pair of hits and an RBI and Katie Raymos drove in a run.
