Prep boys water polo: Falcons pick up win over Vallejo
FAIRFIELD — Six different players scored for the Fairfield High water polo team as it beat Vallejo 14-2, Tuesday.
The Falcons' Anthony Canavesio led in goals with his four, while Anthony Uscanga and Eddie Maumann followed with three, each.
Trevor Conyers added to the score with his two goals, while Michael Dwyer and Xavier Wright each had one. Cody Meyer and Justin Gill split time in the goal, Meyer having three saves, while Gill had five.
Fairfield is 2-1 in Solano County Athletic League play and 10-10, overall. The Falcons travel to Cunningham pool in Vallejo as when play Bethel, Thursday.
Rodriguez 10, Napa 2: At Napa, the Mustangs’s Sebastian Cineas scored four times for Rodriguez (3-1 MEL), while Josh Lopez scored twice. Jacob Dean, Joey Matteucci, Nick Smith and Patrick Halsted each netted one goal.
Julian Merritt made seven saves in goal for Rodriguez.The Mustangs’ JV team fell to the Indians 9-7, with Riley Smith scoring four times, with Aaron Sepulbeda, James Roses and Caleb Macies each scoring once. Goalie Tanner Oldham made five saves in goal.Rodriguez hosts Vintage, Wednesday, with the Crushers coming into the contest in first place and the Mustangs second.
