Prep boys golf: Vacaville Christian tops Highlands

VACAVILLE — Scott Gardner fired a 40 and the Vacaville Christian High golf team defeated Highlands 269-316 at Green Tree Golf Course, Tuesday.

Kevin Pang was next for the Falcons (2-0) as he shot a 53, while Spencer Auch carded a 55, Xinting Li a 60 and Thomas Wary a 61.

Vacaville Christian travels to Cold Springs Golf Course to play Golden Sierra, Thursday.

Vanden 206, Vallejo 320: At Vallejo, the Vikings (3-1) were led by Devyn Fitchhorn who shot a 35 at Blue Rock Springs Golf Club.

Nick Andrews was just behind with a 37, followed by Mike Harris at 41, Ryan Cantrell at 46 and Andrew Switzer at 47.

Vanden hosts American Canyon at Green Tree, Thursday.

Vacaville 207, Armijo 238: At Fairfield, the Indians’ Mario Esparza led the Indians (0-3) with a 43, while Jonathan Delmendo shot a 47, Justin Wong a 48, Bryce Neilson a 49 and Jason Miralles a 51.

Armijo travels to the Silverado Golf Club to take on Vintage, Thursday.

Vintage 231, Rodriguez 255: At Silverado in Napa, Jacob Hurt led the Mustangs (0-3) with a 44, followed by Parker Oldham at 51, David Burns and Brandon Alemania at 53, and J.J. MorCormick at 54.

Nathan Graziani of Vintage had the top score with a 42.

Rodriguez hosts Wood at Rancho Solano, Thursday.
