“It was an up and down game,” said coach Micheal Holloway of the Vikings (6-5).
According to Holloway, Vanden was down five points with a minute and a half left in the game.
DeMarre Walker hit a 3-pointer to get the Vikings within two, and then after an Antelope turnover, Rashad Fisher was able to score on a layup to tie the game. Vanden could have won in regulation, but missed a layup before the buzzer.
The Vikings only outscored the Titans by three in overtime, but it was enough to hold on for the win.
“Antelope had costly turnovers (in overtime),” said Holloway. “We got control of the glass and had a lot of rebounds in overtime.”
Walker led Vanden in scoring with 19 and was named to the all-tournament team, while Fisher and Ricky Garcia scored nine apiece.
