Fairfield is back in action when the Falcons take on St. Patrick’s of Vallejo in the opening round of the De La Salle tournament at 8 p.m., Thursday.
Armijo 71, Hiram Johnson 65, OT: At Armijo, the Indians (0-0) opened their season with a Foundation Game overtime win at home.
Tyree Carrie scored a game-high 33 points for Armijo, while Jordan Allen poured in 12.
The Indians are back in action at Vallejo High, Friday.
Rodriguez 61, Brookside Christian 58: At Rodriguez, the Mustangs (1-0) squeaked out a Foundation Game win, with Kyle Williams scoring a team-high 20 points.
Keanu Williams added 12 points for Rodriguez, while Tim Moore Jr. and Jordan Skillman had seven and six rebounds, respectively.
The Mustangs open play in the St. Joseph’s tournament in Alameda, Thursday.
Vanden 82, Vacaville Christian 33: At Vanden, the Vikings (0-0) won their Foundation Game behind Joey Kuzbiski’s 16 points.
DeMarre Walker added 15 points for Vanden, while Jansen Smith had 12 and Jihad Woods 10.
The Vikings are at home against Inderkum, Wednesday.
American Canyon 54, Buckingham Charter 52: At American Canyon, the Knights (1-0) couldn’t hold on to a 12-point lead at the half as they fell to the Wolves on a last-second basket in a Foundation Game.
Phil Kennedy led Buckingham with 20 points, while Quinton Goss and Davis Jones each scored eight. Goss also chipped in three steals and five rebounds.
It was the exact opposite for the Knights when they downed Sacramento Waldorf 45-43 with their own last-second shot.
Chandler Stone led Buckingham in the win with 16 points and Kennedy added 10.
The Knights are back in action when they play at Trinity Prep of Napa, Wednesday.
