Prep baseball: San Antonio, Hostler named to all-MEL first team

FAIRFIELD — The Rodriguez and Armijo high school baseball teams each landed one player on the all-Monticello Empire League first team, catcher J.P. San Antonio from the Mustangs, pitcher David Hostler from the Indians.

Also on the first team were infielders Tanner Donaldson and Clayton Casera, outfielder Drew Chitwood and utility player Blake Hannah of Vacaville, pitcher Aaron Shortridge, infielders Joe Canepa and Juan Carlos Lopez, and outfielder Cayleb Hobbs of Vintage, and pitcher Austin Abernathy, infielder Jack Pridy and outfielders Kyle Vanderschoot and Alex Huntsinger of Napa.

City players receiving honorable mention were Garlind Webster of Armijo and Davis Delorefice, Ray Villegas and Cory Peacock of Rodriguez.
