Prep baseball: Indians pitcher throws shutout

AMERICAN CANYON — The Armijo High baseball team shut out American Canyon 7-0 behind the arm of David Hostler, Friday.

Hostler pitched a complete game for the Indians (2-1) striking out 13 and only walking two while giving up only four hits.

Clayton Espino led Armijo, going 3 for 4 with a double, while Alex Peppard had two hits. Chris Parodi, Jarod Borunda, Jason Brasile and Antonio Ramirez each had a hit.

The Indians host Vacaville Wednesday.
