Mudcats get doubleheader sweep over Legends

VACAVILLE — Anthony Clyma delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 12th and Jared Carr struck out five to lift the Solano Mudcats Collegiate baseball team to a 3-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader with the Sacramento Legends at Will C. Wood High, Sunday.

The Mudcats got just five hits in the second game but made the most of them for a 7-6 triumph.

Tucker Bishop had a run-scoring single in the fifth inning of the first game, while brother Hudson Bishop scored the tying run in the eighth as he was forced home when Joe Murray was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

In the second game, Nick Perez had two hits, including a home run in the third inning, and two RBIs.

Dylan Montano picked up the victory, striking out five over three innings.
