Audrie Jones led the Vikings (2-1) with 16 points and Chantell Greer added 10. Two Vanden players fouled out, as did two from Wood in a game that saw 48 fouls called.

Ashley Steinkellner led the Wildcats with 13 points.

Vanden plays for the tourney title today at noon against Capital Christian.

Piedmont 56, Rodriguez 46: At Piedmont, the Mustangs (5-2) fell in the semifinals of the Piedmont Tournament despite 12 points from Ariel Clay and 10 from Jenessa Boling.

Marshanique Hall led Armijo with 15 points, while Justice Robinson-Kroon had 13 and Chloe Dawkins 12.

“The third quarter we got going,” said Indians coach Christian Stoll “and hit three threes in the quarter. . . . When you’re playing against a zone you’ve got to hit some outside shots.”

Bethel won the junior varsity game 46-36.

Armijo next plays at Davis on Tuesday.
