Local report: Northern Solano seniors fall to 10-run rule

ELK GROVE — The Northern Solano seniors Babe Ruth baseball team fell 15-3 to Sacramento National, Saturday, after being tied

2-2 through two innings.

Sacramento National went on to score six runs in the third and seven in the fourth, closing out Northern Solano because of the 10-run rule.

Northern Solano was led by Jared Borunda, who went 2 for 3 with a triple and a run-scored, while Michael Arredondo, Cameron Miller and Eddie Peralta each had a base-hit.

Northern Solano was eliminated from the tournament, dropping its second game to Elk Grove, 7-0.

Tri-Valley blanks Northern Solano 13-year-old All-Stars

VALLEJO — The Northern Solano 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars were routed 15-0 by Tri-Valley, Saturday.

The loss puts Northern Solano into the losers bracket, where it will play Woodland at 10 a.m. Sunday in Vallejo.

Tri-Valley scored nine runs in the top of the first inning, five in the third and one in the fourth, scattering 15 hits.

Northern Solano was held to two hits, a double from Cole Thompson and a single from Alberto Soriano.
