KENTFIELD — Denisha Lundy poured in 22 points and hit five of the Solano Community College women’s basketball team’s season-high 13 3-pointers as the Falcons cruised to a 102-53 Bay Valley Conference win over College Marin, Tuesday.

Ariel Clay added 20 points for the Solano (15-4, 6-0 BVC), while Adrianna Jones and Taylor Hamilton each had 14, with Jones nailing four 3-pointers, and Nikki Andaya netted 10.

Solano coach Matt Borchert credited the big win to “just good focus by our players. I was really happy with their focus. . . . It just led to our good play, good full-court pressure defense in the first half turned them over a bit, we shot the ball well, a season-high threes. That certainly kept them from having any kind of run.”

The Falcons, ranked 16th in the state and eighth in Northern California by the California Community College Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, host Merritt College of Oakland in a battle for first place in the BVC, Thursday.
