Fairfield Expos get win over Petaluma Leghorns in Reno

RENO, Nev. — The Fairfield Expos held on to a 8-6 victory over the Petaluma Leghorns, Friday, behind the arm of Payton Tyler.

Tyler went six innings, allowing only two hits and two runs, while striking out six. Justin Lee earned the save, scattering four runs on four hits with two strikeouts.

The Leghorns held onto a 2-0 lead since the top of the first inning, but the Expos plated four in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the sixth.

The only extra-base hit for the Expos came on a double by Anthony Kaleczyc, who ended the day 3 for 4 with an RBI. Jake Hedrick and Garlind Webster had two hits apiece with Webster plating one. Jason Brasile was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Expos play Centralia of Wash. at 10 a.m. in Reno, Saturday.
