Expos sweep doubleheader

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Expos swept the West Sacramento Legion in a doubleheader at Laurel Creek Park on Saturday. The Expos won 5-1 in the first game and 5-3 in the second.

Jack Brandt led the first game at the plate with three hits and an RBI, while Jo Jo Quintanilla was 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI.

Garlind Webster was 1 for 3 in the second game with two RBIs, while Jake Hedrick was 1 for 4 with an RBI and David Hostler was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Rylan Haney pitched the complete game in the first outing, allowing four hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Chris Parodi went four innings in the second game, scattering four hits with two strikeouts and a walk. David Hostler went three innings on the mound and allowed only two hits, striking out four and walking one.

The Expos will host the Thunder Sox in a doubleheader at 10 a.m. at Laurel Creek Park on Sunday.
