Expos avenge loss to Lodi with 15-1 triumph

FAIRFIELD — After dropping a close 7-6 decision to the Lodi Legion, Wednesday, the Fairfield Expos routed the same opponent 15-1 on its home turf at Laurel Creek Park, Thursday.

The Expos combined for 16 hits as Nate Minster led the way going 4 for 4 at the plate, while Garlind Webster led in RBIs with three. Matthew Lanza, Anthony Kaleczyc and Jo Jo Quintanilla had two RBIs.

Webster was 1 for 5 with a triple, while Kaleczyc was 2 for 4 with a home run. Jake Hedrick was 3 for 5 with two doubles and an RBI.

Payton Tyler got the win, going five scoreless innings, scattering five hits with no walks and four strikeouts. Troy Nixon picked up the save, pitching four innings allowing one run on four hits, striking out two.

The Expos host West Sacramento in a doubleheader at Laurel Creek at 4:30 p.m., Saturday.
