FAIRFIELD—The Vanden High baseball team continued the strong start to it’s season by beating Winters 16-6 in six innings, Monday.

The Vikings (2-0) maintained control throughout the game, pulling away early by scoring eight runs in the third inning.
A combination of productive offense and strong pitching by Adam Pini led to the Vanden victory.
Josh Mecham went 1-1 with two RBIs, while Ben Kerr and John Forsythe both connected for two hits and each tallied an RBI.
The Vikings look to keep their streak alive on Wednesday when they host Napa at 3:30p.m.
