ANTIOCH — The Northern Solano Babe Ruth 13- and 15-year-old All-Star teams fell short in their quest for District 3 titles, each finishing second to opponents from Antioch.

The 13s, fighting their way through the loser’s bracket, fell 10-0 to unbeaten Antioch on Tuesday. De Brady Ford had Northern Solano’s only two hits and did the pitching in the game that was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

The Northern Solano 15s, which reached the finals unbeaten, dropped two games on Monday to Antioch’s A team, 9-6 and 9-4. Wesley Galloway scored twice in the finale, which didn’t end until 11:30 p.m.

Northern Solano hosts the three-team 14-year-old tournament, taking on Antioch, Wednesday, at Allan Witt Park, at 6 p.m.
