VACAVILLE — The Armijo High badminton team came away with an 11-4 Monticello Empire League win over Vacaville, Friday.
Serenity Liew, Stephanie Weber, Angelica Roxas and Ysabelle Balomadres were all double winners for the Indians (8-2, 7-1 MEL).
Armijo is back in action at home against Vintage, Wednesday.
Rodriguez 15, Vintage 0: At Rodriguez, the Mustangs cruised to a MEL win, with Raiza Balancio, Bianca Cortez, Mikaela Peralta, Kristine Paeste, Janelle Sandu, Nicole Vu and Taylor Ricafort all winning in singles and part of doubles teams.
Buckingham gets win over Valley Christian
ROSEVILLE — The Buckingham High softball team rolled to an 11-4 Sacramento Metro Athletic League win over Valley Christian, Friday.
Alexis Galvan got the win in the circle for the Knights (2-4, 2-1 SMAL), allowing seven hits in seven innings with eight strikeouts.
Galvan was also 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI for Buckingham and stole two bases. Jazmine Gonzalez was 4 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs, while Natalie Gonzalez was singled out for her strong play in her first appearance behind the plate this season.
The Knights play at Sacramento Adventist, Tuesday.

WOODLAND — The Vacaville Christian High baseball team fell to Woodland Christian 1-0 in Sierra Delta League play, Friday.
Johnny Benedict was 2 for 3 at the plate for the Falcons (10-3), while Josh Gardner was 2 for 4.
VCS plays at Capital Christian, Monday.
