5 Fairfield runners finish Boston Marathon

BOSTON — Five Fairfield runners competed in and finished the Boston Marathon, Monday.

Patrice Horan,53, was the area’s top finisher, running the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 38 minutes, 41 seconds to finish 12,002nd overall, 3,459th in the women’s division and 133rd in her age division.

Horan’s husband Robert, 51, was 12,752nd overall in 3:41:06, 8,891st in the men’s race and 1,202nd in his age category.

Fairfield’s Thomas Wheeler, 61, was 16,016th overall in 3:52:38, 10,277th in the men’s race and 283rd in his age class,

City resident Stephen Itano, 55, was 19,869th overall in 4:09:05, 10,277th among men and 1,132nd in his age group.

Fairfield’s Nola Kinaston, 57, was 24,255th overall in 4:19.52, 10,335th among women and 477th in her age class.
