Vinnie Vedella opened his hot dog restaurant last year at a location near Allan Witt Park. He had been in the construction business for 30 years, including 12 years as owner of a local heating and air conditioning business. But his father owned restaurants and bars and Vedella grew up in New York, where hot dog shops and people selling hot dogs from push carts on street corners are common. Vedella said he always wanted to own a hot dog shop. “We’re here and we’re open and we’re the best hot dog in Solano,” he said.

Nope sorry Vinnie, or whatever the owner's real name is, but I can't agree with this. The one time we went shortly after they opened, the bun wasn't even steamed warm, but fresh out of the pack, drawing all the heat out of the hot dog. So I have never been back. Hot Diggity for me over in Cordelia. But BEST YET, and they aren't even mentioned, is Charr's Hot Dogs, over in Benicia, the very BEST ANYWHERE IMO :-)
