Best golf course: Paradise Valley Golf Course

A combination of things keep the golfers coming back to Paradise Valley Golf Course, said Julie Crow, the director of marketing. She attributes the popularity of Paradise Valley to its great value, great course conditions and great customer service. The vote as the No. 1 golf course by the readers of the Daily Republic “validates” they’re doing at Paradise Valley, she said. “If they’re voting . . . they’re telling us they like what we’re doing and (that they) want to keep coming back here.” The golf course has been in operation since 1993 and is open from sunup to sundown except for Tuesdays, when the range opens at 9 a.m. The short-game practice area offers chipping, pitching and bunker practice to a large green. There is a 30-plus stall lighted driving range with both natural and synthetic turf. The practice area also consists of a large putting green.

I agree about the great short game practice area at Paradise Valley Golf Course. But I would like to add to the debate put forward at www.bettergolftechnique.com where they advocate cost savings of DVD gold lessons, as apposed to private tuition. Any views, anyone? As far as I am concerned, the PV Golf offers a great value for practising both long and short game.
