Gary Falati believes in the personal touch. Put away the Twitter and the Facebook, if social media isn’t your thing, because Falati and his team at State Farm want to visit with you face-to-face. Falati called it a “valued and cherished” way of doing business. ”Our clients aren’t a number, they’re a family to us,” Falati said. One day, a longtime customer came in to pay her bill and indicated that her 86-year-old husband was still in the car because he was having problems walking. Falati went out, sat in the car and visited with him for a while. ”I cherish that opportunity,” he said. “I value that . . . (and) I think that’s what comes through to our clients.” The personal touch and advocacy for his policyholders are the reasons Falati thinks he was voted the best insurance agent by Daily Republic readers. ”They realize that we go the extra mile,” he said. He said his team isn’t afraid to advocate for the policyholders if a claim isn’t in their best interest. ”We’re not afraid to challenge the establishment,” he said. Falati said they have about 4,500 to 5,000 policies on the books and about two-thirds of those are what Falati called longtime clients.
