An eye to the future and friendly faces are just a couple of reasons why Jack Anthony, chief executive officer of 7 Flags Car Wash, believes his loyal customers consistently vote his car wash chain as the best in the annual Readers’ Choice awards. “It’s our people,” he said. “We bend over backward to hire the right people.” And those people have a ready smile on their face when they arrive at any one of 11 locations – 10 in Solano County, one in Contra Costa County – that are either full-service, self-service or a new automated cashier express service located in Vacaville. Anthony’s dad started the first 7 Flags in Vallejo in 1964 and expanded to Fairfield the next year. Coming up in the wings is Anthony’s son Jason, who is the vice president in charge of marketing and development. Anthony said the business consistently reinvests in equipment and they’re always “upgrading and modifying,” looking for that “drier, cleaner car faster for their customers.” They consistently look to see “what we can do to enhance our customer’s experience.” “You can get your car washed anywhere, but what kind of experience did you have?” Anthony said.
