FAIRFIELD — Ellen Anderson, a licensed audiologist and a hearing aid specialist, has been giving Solano County residents the gift of better hearing for more than 33 years.
Founded in Fairfield in 1980, Ellen Anderson M.A. Hearing Services helps patients reverse their hearing loss. That work first involves diagnostic audiology, testing and diagnosing her patients with what’s wrong, and then making recommendations for hearing aids or devices to improve their hearing.
“Our profession consists of testing to determine whether a hearing loss can be medically treated or if a loss is best treated with a hearing device. It is and has been very satisfying to assist those who need our services. All of us at Hearing Services take great pride in working with those in need of better hearing,” Anderson wrote in an email to the Daily Republic.
Her practice is affiliated with the Audigy Group, which is comprised of top-flight private practices across the nation. It offers an array of hearing aids for lifestyles ranging from “very quiet” to “active” and styles that include behind-the-ear and in-the-ear, among others. It also offers assisted listening devices that improve telephone and television usage for people with impaired hearing.
The evolution of hearing instruments has been astounding through the years, going from ear trumpets to large battery-operated aids to the miniature digital products of today. Digital hearing devices provides us the opportunity to customize an individual’s unique hearing difficulties. Everyone is different and therefore needs a variety of computer adjustments. Digital hearing products provide us with this opportunity.
Anderson said her practice is very service-oriented and her professional staff’s love for what they do shows in the dedicated service they give their patients, who range from newborns to people who are more than 100 years old.
“We take great pride in providing excellent service to each and every one who walks through our door. Everyone wants to hear better and also treated with respect and that is what Hearing Services strives to do. We are focused on providing excellent service,” Anderson wrote.
The company has offices at 1287 Oliver Road in Fairfield, 673B Merchant St. in Vacaville, 6 N. Fifth St. in Rio Vista and 480 Redwood St., Suite 14 in Vallejo. For more information about Ellen Anderson M.A. Hearing Services, go to www.hearingservicesca.com or call 426-4327.
