Sweet rides on display for Classic Car Show

DIXON — The Dixon May Fair is having its second Classic Car Show for pre-1972 hot rods, classics and customs from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10 on picnic lawn.

Car buffs this year are in for an afternoon of polished chrome, outrageous paint jobs, cherry finishes and rock n’ roll music by The Hot Rods.

Expect to see everything from a flamed ’32 Deuce Coupe hot rod to the family ’55 Buick in refurbished, pristine condition.

Custom cars might be raked, channeled, chopped and may be customized with parts from a variety of automakers, or machined for a custom look. You may even see a “Rat Rod” with its distinctive “put together by anything I could find” look and absence of a slick paint job.

Awards will be given in four categories with a $100 grand prize for best of show.
