The staff at Scientopia believe in combining play with learning. When you enter Scientopia, you discover kids having a great time while learning valuable concepts associated with the California school science standards.
Scientopia’s exhibits include various magnets to learn about magnetic forces, blowers and generators to learn about static charge and power, a sniff-o-rama to learn about scents and various bubble exhibits to learn about water and air. Also, wind tunnels, windmills, turntables, light tables and communication tables are just some of the interactive kid-centric aspects of science.
Scientopia also includes a children’s garden and outdoor picnic area, a dress-up area that has lots of costumes and gear to help complete the role play, and a puppet theater where kids can produce their own puppet shows.
Scientopia also has an art and recycle workshop featuring projects from new and recycled materials and the thinking corner, where kids learn about pulleys, magnets, wind tunnels and other things.
