FAIRFIELD — Suisun City, Vacaville and Dixon will all offer Halloween trick-or-treating events for the area’s children.
Suisun City firefighters carry on their five-decade-old tradition of hosting the Halloween Parade and Costume Contest starting with a parade down Main Street to the Harbor Plaza where firefighters hand out prizes. A merchants’ trick-or-treat follows the parade. For more information: www.suisun.com
Downtown Vacaville will host its Halloween Stroll on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with merchants offering treats to young ghouls and goblins. There will also be live entertainment offered in the Town Square. For more information: www.downtownvacaville.com.
The Western Railway Museum gets into the Halloween spirit on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Oct. 12 with its Pumpkin Patch Festival where an electric train will carry visitors to a pumpkin patch complete with hay rides, live music, games, homemade baked goods, a hay bale fort and, of course, pumpkins.
