The Northern Solano County Association of Realtors and the association’s charitable foundation are celebrating the annual American Home Week, April 7-13, 2013. This year’s theme is “Things are Looking Up – A Bright Future on the Horizon,” which highlights the positive outlook for Solano County’s housing market recovery.
American Home Week is a time when Realtors and affiliates reflect on the rights and responsibilities of homeownership and work together in creating a positive community. The American dream of homeownership is not just good for families, but for the economy and country. In keeping with this philosophy, the local real estate community focuses on giving back to the community where they work and live.
The weeklong celebration will host a variety of activities including a champagne brunch April 9 at Rancho Solano Clubhouse in Fairfield. This popular event attended by Realtors, affiliates and public officials will be a fundraiser with the profits benefiting local charities.
This year the selected charities are Opportunity House and Heather House, whose missions are to provide a safe and helpful environment for homeless participants, empowering them to stand on their own to achieve a productive lifestyle in the community.
The event will feature an inspirational message from keynote speaker Rick Geha, a part owner of four Keller Williams Realty franchises in Northern California. Attendees will have the chance to meet with several local vendors that offer services ranging from insurance, home remodel and repair to lending and home warranty services.
The event includes a hot air balloon ride as door prize and many raffles items donated by local businesses.
