Sound off for Oct. 13, 2013
Last week, we asked who was to blame for the federal government shutdown.
Here are some comments on our website about it:
- Your question is flawed. The people responsible are the tea party radicals in the House of Representatives. Where is the option to pick the actual perps? Most of Congress is not guilty, only a faction of the Republicans in the House, but your choices ask us to pin the blame on all of Congress. Most congressmen are not criminals.
- Polls today show that 70 percent disapprove of how Republicans have handled the budget, 61 percent disapprove of how Dems have handled it and 51 percent disapprove of Obama’s role. So, you’re in the minority. Most believe they’ve all acted badly.
- We love the blame game. Let’s try something else. Who is not to blame? Who are the heroes in government?
