Last week we asked whether Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl should be prosecuted for desertion.

Here are some comments from our website:

  • It seems like the government is trying to keep the whole thing as cloudy as possible, so no one can really know what really happened.
  • The entire Berghdal story is a success for President Obama, he diverted the subject away from VA deaths.
  • Doesn’t an investigation preceed prosecution? You know what I’d investigate, why would he be promoted while a captive if the Army deemed him a deserter? I would afford him all the guarantees under Uniform Code of Military Justice and any other laws that he is entitled to. Let laws judge the case, not the media. And yes, if found guilty, desertion would be his shame.
