I failed to read all the comments when the story was first presented. The third comment is so very true. Most of these projects are on the ‘fast track’ to accomplish without input of parents or community. The supt initiates the notion, her staff works it out, the plan is on the Board agenda,staff presents to Board, and without public comment-it’s done. Nothing illegal here, it is on the agenda, and it was posted in the paper. Parents and community members need to stay informed and participate in the process. And, if you feel the Board or superintendent is ‘deaf’ to your concerns- use the power of the vote to change the members.
