Eliminate the electoral college and you eliminate any chance for a far-right Republican to ever be elected as President.

a more significant and beneficial change would be to limit the number of dollars any one entity (person, union, or corporation) could donate to politicians or political causes in any year to $1,000. this would take care of the argument that corporations are people, but not the argument that money is speech.
