Readers choose best of the best
The votes are in for the best of the best businesses in the greater Fairfield-Suisun City-Vacaville-Vallejo region.
Winners and runners-up are included in the 2013 Reader’s Choice special section, which publishes in Sunday’s edition. You can also see the winners on the DR’s website.
This year you voted for winners in 113 categories, representing such classifications as shopping and retail, health and beauty, professional services, food and drink, home improvement, vehicle-related, and things to do / places to go.
Ballots were published in the paper late last year and collected and counted in early January. The winners and runners-up represent reader recommendations on a host of common services.
Looking for a way to spend a nice weekend with your spouse, say for a long-overdue extended date? This list can help you decide what winery to visit, where to have dinner, where to get dessert, where to go after you eat and where to get a room for the night.
Sure, you may live here, but it’s nice sometimes to stay in a hotel for the night, just to change things up. Guys, your wife may also appreciate the pampering and the fact that someone else will make the bed.
That’s just one use of our Reader’s Choice section. The list can also help you find a great place to buy a new or used vehicle, and a place to have service done on your vehicle. Need a dentist? See who our readers recommend. Looking to buy or sell a home? See which Realtors and real estate and mortgage companies made the grade.

Our Reader’s Choice honorees are featured in four sections, totaling 48 pages. There’s lots of good information, information we’re sure you can make use of between now and the end of the year, when we’ll publish ballots and open voting for the 2014 Reader’s Choice.
