Easy to tell if you’re a liberal

Is there any doubt that support or resistance to the Affordable Care Act divides along liberal and conservative lines? What that really means is that those who think President Obama can do no wrong are more likely to welcome his health care plan. Or try this quiz: If you voted for Barbara Boxer in the last election; therefore, are you more likely to favor or oppose “Obamacare?”

We could go a little further in defining what makes liberal Democrats different from conservative Republicans. I have purloined these notions from the online Patriot Post, because I thought they exemplified the old adage, “There’s many a truth said in jest.” The first one, and I’ll be darned if I haven’t seen this while driving between Fairfield and Vacaville, is, “You’re a liberal if you still have an Obama 2012 sticker on your car, probably next to an Obama 2008.

In extreme cases a driver who is both an aging hippie and a Democrat might have not only a “U.S. Out of Vietnam” sticker, but also one that says “U.S. Out of Nicaragua.” Whether their 40-year-old Volvos can get them to their polling place is another story.

You’re a liberal if you believe, as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said, that food stamps give people the freedom to stay home and pursue their artistic endeavors. Of course, Nancy – one of the celebrities of the Democratic party, is the woman who said, speaking of the multiple-thousand-page health care bill, “We’ll have to pass the bill so we can see what’s in it.”

You’re a liberal if you’ve fought against racial discrimination for years. But there is one form of racial discrimination you enthusiastically support: Affirmative action.

Ever since they formed, you’ve been certain that tea party supporters are “ignorant racists,” while the unwashed hippies who make up Occupy Wall Street are thoughtful, knowledgeable and fair.

In the liberal pantheon of heroes, obviously President Obama has the most elevated spot, but not far from him is Michael Moore. A step lower might be Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews. Wait! I almost left out Alan Colmes, the house liberal on Fox. He’s both boring and dyes his hair a different rust color every few months.

You’re also a liberal if you blame every foreign disaster on George W. Bush. What am I thinking? For years, President Obama blamed almost everything – foreign or domestic – on Bush. Obama did claim, when the Obamacare rollout looked very messy, that it was largely the fault of Republicans who were scaring potential enrollees away from signing up.

Confession: When I was young and confused I voted for George McGovern. He wasn’t just like President Obama, though. McGovern was an honest liberal.

You're certainly a conservative if you habitually misquote Nancy Pelosi.

RLW895: where is the misquote as to what she said

SD: Rlw would spin the Pelosi quote on the ACA to her benefit by pointing out that she went on to add words to the effect of, "apart from the fog of controversy surronding the bill." This, of course, ignores the fact that the existence of a "fog of controversy" at the time is EXACTLY why the law should not have been passed at that time. It seems now that there was good reason for the "fog of controversy" does it not? Pelosi knew this and thus the law was jammed down our throats by the democrats before the truth could be known. Bud's "misquote" is right on target. Forget the semantic nit-picking by rlw and others.

Well i guess rlw895 was misquoted.

The misquote is typically made to show that congress voted on a bill when they didn't know what was in it. For that to work, you have to assume she was addressing congress or members of congress when she says "we." But in fact, she was addressing the legislative conference of a national association of counties--2,000 delegates--and she didn't say "we," she said "you." Her point was "cloud of controversy" surrounding the ACA was obscuring what was really in it to the public, and that cloud would only lift after it passed. You judge whether Bud was misquoting or not; I already have and stand by that opinion.

*the "cloud of controversy." And Mr.S only demonstrates how he studiously tries to expand the misquote to the full context. Don't take my or his word for it. Look up the actual remarks and read the full paragraph in context. How many times to we have to see remarks taken out of context, misquoted or not, to stop trusting the people who do that to us? The Right does it ALL THE TIME. Please provide an example of the Left doing the same. There must be some right on the tip of your tongue, Mr.S, et al.

On this Friday, April 4th edition of the Alex Jones Show, Infowars Nightly News host David Knight transits a wide spectrum of the news, including a review of Hollywood's Captain America: The Winter Soldier with Infowars Nightly News reporters Jakari Jackson and Lee Ann McAdoo. Alex files two reports today: one on the climate change ruse, the other covering the best way to deal with tyranny as the police state increasingly demands submission. David covers DARPA's involvement with the government’s BRAIN Initiative and the private prison phenomenon as coercive aspects of the police state agenda lock down schools and filter into society at large. The most recent incident occurred in Baltimore after a SWAT team was dispatched in response to a student with a camera tripod. David also takes your calls on today's worldwide broadcast.wwwinfowarscom

These type things are the Illuminati, requiring their Puppets in the Media and Politics to perform for them... Lots of inside jokes.... Remember Clinton helped cover up that Dark Elements of our own FBI, using planted "Islamic terrorists" really did the trial run of 9/11 the 1993 World trade center bombing. See they were setting the stage for 9/11... Hint Clintons/Bushs are big time Banking Puppets. Building The Legend of Bin Laden and Islamic Terrorists.

OK so sorry guys, there are many good Intelligence agents that risk their lives... But it seems to me that the Bad Dark element is now much more harmful and must be exposed. See they were building their cover story for the planned 9/11 event.... See PNAC and Operation Northwoods.

The Horrifying Truth About Obamas Illegal Intervention In Libya .........The "revolution" in Libya was anything but a popular uprising. The "protestors" that overthrew Moammar Gadaffi were in fact al-Qaeda terrorists that had been unleashed on the country by the CIA under the direction of Barack Hussein Obama, and I prove this in this latest episode of The Truth Is Viral.....Even more shockingly, you will hear an exclusive TTiV interview with a NATO spokesman who states, for the record, that the reason Obama had given for intervening in Libya was an utter lie. Obama had claimed that Gadaffi was about to use chemical weapons on the "protestors," when in fact he had been dispossessed of any WMD capability as early as 2003. NATO not only knew this, they were the ones who had been helping Gadaffi get rid of those weapons........Barack Obama, however, is not one to let a few facts get in his way when it comes to implementing whatever evil agenda he wishes. Under orders from a cabal of international bankers Obama, who has been doing whatever he can to support radical Islamists across the Middle East, the CIA trained and equipped al-Qaeda terrorists and set them on a path of revolution that ended with a new Libyan Central Bank and the black flag of al-Qaeda flying over the Benghazi courthouse........... Assisted by NATO forces and Qatari Army Soldiers, and supplied with weapons by the Qataris, these al-Qaeda terrorists succeeded in removing the Libyan leader from power before brutally murdering him..
