Whose fault is sequestration?

I see the Democrats are at it again. The dark cloud of sequestration is hanging over the country. Automatic cuts across the board. Half will come from defense and half from social programs.

There are two things that must be remembered, and of course, the Democrats wish that you would forget.

President Barack Obama was the person who came up with this not-so-brilliant plan. In fact, he said that if Congress presented a bill that did away with sequestration, he would veto it. In the coming days you will hear and read how this is a Republican plan. Keep in mind, it is an Obama plan.

The other thing concerning sequestration is that it is a cut in the rate of growth. It is not a cut as sane people would define a cut, but how politicians define a cut. Even if sequestration happens, at the end of 10 years, America will still have spent $9 trillion more than we take in. That’s trillion, folks, and that’s insane.

I can hear the Democrats ranting and raving to tax the rich. The rich already pay way more than half of all income taken in by the government. Any government that takes over a third of a person’s income is immoral.

We as a country can use a little belt-tightening. It didn’t hurt Germany or Great Britain. It did hurt Greece and Spain and Italy but that’s only because they kept kicking that economic can down the road until they ran out of road.

Patriot, sheep follow and no self respecting Democrat would be in that group. You should go back to the Republican primaries and you may recognize the most pathetic level of sheep-like behavior ever. It continued right down the drain with a loser candidate and idi*tic comments from your flock. You and fellow Republicans are lost in the quagmire of FOX/GOP smoke and mirrors. You make Rush proud and that is about as sad a statement I can make. Obama is turning things around the GOP obstructionist third grade behavior notwithstanding.

The Mister, I wouldn't know if you and Patriot are new here because you hide behind an alias. I have been using terms like sheep (and others) to describe Republicans for years. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear and clearly most of them never get it. But I will keep trying! :)

Again CD, sipping the koolaid..If you believe what Obama and his groupees are doing to this country is helpful I would have to believe you are benefiting from all of the social welfare programs they have and are going to try to have after taxing us middle class out of existence...

Patriot, right. You're oozing slop out of the playbook. FOX-isms, I rest my case. Good evening and good luck.

Not really sure what the big deal is over sequestration. It only cuts the growth in spending; not the current spending. Of course, Washington probably budgeted for that growth… No, wait, there has not been a budget in the last four years. Everyone keeps calling the Republicans obstructionists; obstructing what? This is Obama's plan from last year. Republicans are letting it go forward un-obstructed…

In four years, the US DEBT is going to be over 20 TRILLION DOLLARS. While we are all playing politics, blaming each other because our Political affiliation, who's really are suffering? The government can ask for more taxes but if the Politicians do not control their spending, this country is going to be BANKCRUPT. Do you know who will suffer most, YES, the middle class and the poor. DID WE EVER ELECTED A MIDDLE CLASS POLITICIAN in the STATE and NATIONAL LEVEL? There is your answer.
