Who controls the government?

By April 20, 2014

Michael Goring in his letter to the editor on Sunday, April 13, 2014, stated in his bottom line the Republicans’ point of view. The Democrats’ point of view is that 100 percent of the people should be given health care. No one should have to declare bankruptcy or go without health care because they cannot afford it.

Elimination of denying health care for pre-existing conditions is a big step in that direction. Subsidizing health care for the poor is another step.

The Republicans believe in government of the people, by the people, for big business. The Democrats believe in government of the people, by the people, for the people. The big question now is, who controls our country’s health care?

Big business for money (the Republicans) or the federal government for the people (the Democrats)?
