“I have a dream.” What a profound set of words.
They are words that were spoken by a great man, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I lived in the 1950s and the 1960s, when this country was divided. The black American was fighting peacefully under King to get equal, not separate, treatment: Everyone of all races united under this flag and Constitution as Americans.
My vision is that American blacks will be released from the past and step to the future. However, many successful blacks in life go to great lengths to make other blacks of America not feel successful because of some past event.
My dream is that the young American black starts accepting that he/she is American. Remember, this America, under this Constitution, is the place where men/women can be successful in whatever venture they chose.
My dream is to have a successful shuttle service in this area; to assist with shuttle service on the military bases, especially Travis Air Force Base. Stan’s Shuttle is not out to make a lot of money, this business was design to served. I love the words, “call to serve.” Stan’s Shuttle is a helpful service for the men, women and families as they fight for freedom in a “sand box.” I give advice as well as a free ride as they arrive at Travis.
The second part of my vision is for my children to be directed in a successful way of life. I raised my three children as a single father; now they are on their way. My two girls are in college working on higher degrees. My son has now taken over the shuttle business. I thank my heavenly Father for the gift of prayer. The people along the way they help and encouraged.
My dream is coming to a close, as I began to travel to touch others as they touch me.
What are your dreams?
