Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Fairfield has been in business for two years and I want to thank all the people who have made it an outstanding success. ReStore runs on donations and without all of those who gave us their new and gently used furniture, appliances, cabinets, sinks, bathtubs, vanities and other miscellaneous home improvement items, we would not be here.
Likewise, ReStore could not survive without all those who shop there and get all those great bargains, anywhere from 50 percent to 90 percent discounted. Lastly, ReStore operates mainly with volunteers doing the cashiering, sales, intake and cleanup and donation pickups, so to all of those who give their time and labor, thank you very much.
ReStore is located in Cordelia off Interstate 80 at 104 Commerce Court. Donations are tax-deductible, less material goes to the landfills and ReStore’s proceeds support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of eliminating poverty housing locally. The new deconstruction program utilizes volunteers to carefully remove donations such as kitchen cabinets, sinks and countertops, saving the customer money paid to the contractor to do the work. Call ReStore for more details at 863-0692.
Thanks again to all of you who are helping make our ReStore so successful!
Mike Glancy, ReStore manager
