Release SB 1272 from suspense

Our state Senate Appropriations Committee is delaying action to release Senate Bill 1272 for a November ballot. We could vote to overturn Citizens United and the McCutcheon case, which has corrupted our democratic election system.

It won’t happen, though, unless we tell Sens. Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento; Kevin de Leon, D-Los Angeles; Alex Padilla, D-Van Nuys; Jerry Hill, D- San Mateo; Mimi Walters, R-Irvine; Ricardo Lara, D-Long Beach; Ted Gaines, R-El Dorado Hills; and Ted Lieu, D-Redondo Beach, to release this bill for a vote on the Senate floor.
