Cold-hearted Republicans? Consider this

From page A8 | August 09, 2014 |

I usually make a point of not reading columns written by Mike Kirchubel as they are generally hate-based, ill-informed diatribes against Republicans or heavens . . . gasp . . . tea party people.

But I admit I was sucked in by the headline of his July 21 column, which asked, Why are Republicans so cold-hearted? Once again, I was treated to a whopping dose of his convoluted circular reasoning. In this particular column, he used the following reasoning: all rich people are cold-hearted, all Republicans are rich, therefore all Republicans are cold-hearted.

If he truly thinks that all rich people are cold-hearted, then logically his list muse also include these Democrats:

  • Sen. Dianne Feinstein (net worth $70 million).
  • Sen. Barbara Boxer (net worth $5 million).
  • Secretary of State John Kerry (net worth $194 million).
  • Sen. Harry Reid (net worth $5 million).
  • Gov. Jerry Brown (net worth $4 million).
  • Rep. Nancy Pelosi (net worth $100 million).
  • Former President Bill Clinton (net worth $85 million).
  • Former Vice President Al Gore (net worth $300 million).
  • President Barack Obama (net worth $12.4 million).

What Mr. Kirchubel was actually trying to do in his column is the same as he does in all of his columns, which is continue his mantra of “Republican bad; Democrat good.” I hope your readers will join me in not reading any more of his rants.

@Salty Dog: I do not think Artimus needs you to protect him. Artimus chose to comment, With that, comes responses to his comments. He was not really adding anything by his comment, but he is still fair game based on the comment he left. I am sure Mark was not aware that he had suffered a stroke, so Mark has nothing to apologize for.

The actual 'joke' here are people who have nothing better to do in their bitter little lives than to read the writings of people they consider a 'joke' to whine about it. Let me guess, Obama's fault?

Great letter Cathy, It will be fun to read just how Mike will try and spin this and twist your letter to defend the cold hearted rich Democrats you listed. I can only wonder how his head must be spinning and smoke coming out of his ears as he try's to come up with lies and false truths to tell us that they are not cold hearted. And the other Liberal socialist's that agree with him. I think this will be a very fun read.

Clinton worked himself up rapidly and became a governor of Arkansas. As a governor Bill Clinton committed a series of high crimes, related to his Illuminati connection. He became the leader of a gigantic network which dealt with drug-smuggling, laundering of drug-money and corruption in general. A good friend of Clinton from Arkansas, Larry Nichols, was interviewed in a film. Clinton thought that Nichols would keep his mouth shut, but he didn't. He was hired by Clinton and had found out that Clinton's firm, "Arkansas Development Finance Authority" (ADFA), laundered drug-money. Cocaine to a value of $10.000.000 (ten million dollars!) a week was flown in from Mena Airport in Arkansas. The money was laundered via ADFA to a bank in Florida, to a bank in Georgia, to Citycorp in New York, and from there it was transferred out of the country. All this regarding to Larry Nichols. Clinton's best friend, Dan Lasater, led the operations. Lasater and Bill Clinton's brother, Roger Clinton, later spent time in jail due to drug related crimes....... During the elections, the Democratic leaders gave the impression that they were going to impeach Bush and Cheney and get rid of all their corrupted partners in crime, who blatantly are stealing billions of dollars of taxpayer money from this "war from profits" in Iraq. After the election was over Pelosi immediately issued a statement taking impeachment "off the table" and had lunch with the war criminal President George Bush and said she was going to work with this man. Why didn't Pelosi and all the other Democrats tell the American People BEFORE the elections that that this was their game plan? Because Pelosi is told what to do by her Illuminati employers and they want Bush to still be in power..... Google...Nancy Pelosi Illuminati

Obama’s Two-Week Martha’s Vineyard Vacation Has a Pre-Planned Interruption Boston com...... In what the Associated Press calls an “odd move,” the President will return to the White House for meetings halfway through his vacation. A supposed two-week trip is now two shorter trips so that he can attend some meetings with White House officials. He’ll be on the island from Aug. 9 to 17, and then from Aug. 19 to 24. It appears that the Clintons and Obamas will be there at the same times..... Just as Cheney really was running the Bush Jr Presidency.... I wonder who really runs the Obama presidency... my guess is the Clintons/International Bankers/Rockefellers through valerie jarrett

The biggest difference in the 1%ers like Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, Pelosi, Reid, the Clintons and Obama is that they became millionaires only after "winning" an election and started collecting their government paycheck, previously none ever had a job nor any type of business, yet not only do the brain dead "progressives" give these tightwad 1%ers a pass ( they donate very little to charity, preffering to be "charitable" with other tax payers money), the "progressives" actually worship these scumbags either directly or indirectly by bashing the GOP and the successful business owners.

Cathy, I have stated many times that not all Republicans are rich. Most Republican voters are actually working class people who have been suckered into voting against their own economic interests. Maybe we should discuss that again in the column. By the way, nobody has argued that the Republicans are NOT cold-hearted, including you.

  • Mike KirchubelAugust 09, 2014 - 1:24 pm

Logically, it seems that only about 1% of the voting population SHOULD be Republican, the rest of them have been bamboozled into voting against their own economic interests by the pervasive right-wing media and the right-wing "foundations" that pump out propaganda at a consistently increasing rate.
