I agree with you. I was in there on Friday and there were no trash cans and ads/papers, etc that people didn’t want were just thrown on the counters and most ended up on the floor. I also can’t figure out why extra counter help is not called when the customer service lines go out the door. I now use Raley’s for most of my mailing/package/stamps needs. At least there if the line starts to get long they call extra clerks to help. I use the PO Box service at the Post Office and if it was not for that I would not go near the place.

The Post Office is yet another government run disaster. Meanwhile profits and efficient service are to be had at UPS and elsewhere. The Post Office turned into a boondoogle long ago. You were warned. We saw the Post Office buy a local Postmaster's mansion in South Carolina for millions when he was reassigned. We saw how the senior leaders couldn't stem the red ink that mounted year after year. The culture inside the Post Office is horrible. There's no unity of purpose and mission as horrible managers fight with equally horrible rank and file workers. Now its mostly angry minorities all screaming about diversity as their workplace is anything but diverse. Where the Post Office goes, the Federal Government seems to follow---failed in its missions, its budgets and its morals or lack thereof.
