PG&E customers always lose

The July 30 Daily Republic reports on Page A5 charges of obstruction filed against PG&E for in the 2010 San Bruno gas pipeline explosion. On Page A10 is an announcement of public hearings in connection with a PG&E request for California Public Utilities Commission authorization of a gas transmission and storage revenue increase over authorized limits for 2015-17.

The requested for 2015 alone is an increase of more than 75 percent, from $555 million to $731 million. This of course means rate increases for PG&E gas customers.

It seems a pity that the customer will pay for the repairs, the penalties, the lawyers, and so much more that has little to do with the actual cost of the natural gas they consume.

PG&E is a corp, all money goes from the SF part goes back to the main corp. PG&E can say they aren't making money in Ca and ask for higher rates but the mother company is raking in money hand over foot. Why can't the main Corp take care of its subsidiary's? Because to many elected officials are getting large donations from...... The main corp and PG&E, what could be better?

Do you have a problem with political donations? Just take a look at what the Richmond city council did. Conned Chevron out of money to buy land for a non-profit MCE. Councel member is a member of the governing board of MCE {Marin Clean Energy} Pure agenda driven ideals from the left leaning Progressives.

This is not just an "increase" it's a GOUGE! If you actually read the PG&E’s "Legal Notice" on July 30th, residential increase sought is 12.6%; for businesses the hike will be 16%!!! PG&E’s shareholders need to take the hit…not we customers. You can fight this by supporting TURN at http://www.turn.org/. These people fight everyday for consumbers
